Made from destructed illegal firearms, with the aim to highlight the issues of gun related violence and give back to conflict torn societies. The very purchase of Humanium Metal makes a difference: 15% of funds made from the sale circles back to the society where the firearms were originally collected and supports the victims of armed violence. Read more about the Humanium Metal initiative here.
The weapons that are melted into Humanium Metal have been cleared for destruction by relevant public national authorities. Every single weapon destroyed to become Humanium Metal has gone through a thorough process of verification and origin before it is cleared for destruction. These firearms have been seized after having been used in serious crime, e.g the killing of a police officer or homicide in domestic violence. The weapons used in the watches are from El Salvador, one of the countries most affected by gun violence in the world.
