We love our hometown, this is where we live, eat, love and find inspiration. There are countless things to do in Stockholm, this time around we would like to share our favourite places to wine and dine by the water!

A summer oasis

Norr Mälarstrand 64

Along the picturesque lakeside walk of Norr Mälarstrand, you’ll find Mälarpaviljongen. As soon as you lay eyes on this flourishing oasis, you’ll be compelled to sit down with a refreshing drink in hand and marvel at the beautiful surroundings.

Mälarpaviljongen is without a doubt the ultimate destination on a sunny day in summertime Stockholm. Peckish? The pavilion offers an array of delicious drinks, food and desserts – inspired by international as well as traditional Swedish cuisine.

Fancy a night out? During the summer season Mälarpaviljongen is host to numerous summer clubs. With events ranging from the annual hat parade to Sunday jazz sessions – this place truly has something for everyone!

Freedom and togetherness and a glass of Pastis

Boulebar Rålambshov

Smedsuddsvägen 2

Boulebar’s goal is simple: to create an atmosphere where people can relax, smile and forget all their troubles for a couple of hours – and boy do they succeed!

Although Boulebar has a number of locations in and around Stockholm, Boulebar Rålambshov is our favourite. Situated in Rålambshov parken, this particular Boulebar has the perks of the beautiful lakeside surroundings whilst still being located in central Stockholm.

In terms of food, Boulebar usually describes it’s cuisine as a mini vacation to the south of France. And guess what? We haven’t even told you the best part… after finishing that delightful dinner of yours you can head on over to the courts and challenge your friends to a game of boule.

Let’s be honest.. when you’re in the presence of delicious food, fantastic drinks and stunning surroundings how can you not smile!

Dining on the water’s edge

Restaurang J

Ellensviksvägen 1
Nacka Strand

On the very edge of Nacka Strand’s marina - arguably on the water - you’ll find Restaurant J. This marine brasserie offers a cosy atmosphere with its painted wooden panelling, fireplaces and its dazzling views over the bay.

Restaurant J specialises in U.S. inspired cuisine with a particular focus on seafood. When dining here you must try the fish and seafood bouillabaisse – you won’t be disappointed!

With the abundance of outdoor seating, Restaurant J is perfect place to relax, eat and work on that tan of yours!

A modern taste of Nordic cuisine

Oaxen Krog

Beckholmsvägen 26

It’s closeness to nature and water makes Oaxen Michelin star restaurant the ultimate destination if you are looking to celebrate something special or simply spice up your week!

The inspiration behind the restaurant originates from the island of Oaxen, which is located in Stockholm’s archipelago. The restaurant explores wild herbs found on Djurgården and cleverly combines them with unique ingredients from Sweden’s neighbouring Nordic regions.

A visit to Oaxen is guaranteed to take you for a unique and memorable culinary experience!
