TIME FOR OCEANS

Meet Time for Oceans. A collection of colourful statement watches made completely from recycled ocean plastic to highlight the critical health of the oceans and generate money for a continuous ocean clean-up.

THE CAUSE

Every year 8 million metric tons of plastic enter our oceans, the equivalent of a dump-truck load every minute,on top of the estimated 150 million that currently circulate. This has a deep and irreversible impact on marine life and in the end, on ourselves. We are consuming micro plastics equivalent to a credit card each week.

THE PROCESS

For this project, we teamed up with #tide ocean material in
Switzerland to up-cycle and process the ocean plastic. The plastic is collected from the oceans and, with the help of solar energy, transformed into granules which are further used to create our Time for Oceans watches.
